Great news Wisp fans! Marion County has been approved for Phase 1 and will be open starting Friday May 22! That means some of our gals will be returning to work that day, and some will return a few days later. Please contact your stylist/tech to schedule your appointment, each provider in the salon will book their own appointments.
๐PLEASE READ๐ We will be following phase 1 guidelines so please be prepared for a few changes:
Your provider is required to contact you before your appointment with questions such as:
Have you had a new or worsening cough?
Have you had a fever?
Have you had shortness of breath?
Have you been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who
has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
If yes to any of these, you MUST reschedule your appointment.
You MUST have an appointment. One client – alone – at a time per provider. Please wait in your car/truck and call or text your hair/nail/lash gal when you arrive, and they will let you know when you can come in and meet you at the door. *the salon door will be locked as we will not be accepting walk ins*
Please only bring one bag/purse into the salon. Each client must wash their hands with soapy, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds before their service. We (your providers) will have masks on for your entire appointment. You are not required to wear a mask into the salon, but you may if you want to.
Feel free to send us or your provider a message if you have any questions.
Thank you all so much for the kind words and for waiting for us to open. We want all of us to continue to be safe and have great hair/nails/lashes too!

Personal services are included in Phase I. Marion County MUST BE APPROVED to open before we can start taking clients. We will let you know as soon as we know!
In a press briefing earlier today, Governor Kate Brown announced additional details for the Phase I reopening of Oregon. The Governor will begin accepting applications for reopening counties on May 8. Oregon counties must meet certain criteria to reopen, including:
1. Declining COVID-19 prevalence
2. Minimum Testing Regimen
3. Contact Tracing System
4. Isolation Facilities
5. Finalize Statewide Sector Guidelines
6. Sufficient Healthcare Capacity
7. Sufficient PPE Supply
Should counties meet the prerequisites, they can enter into Phase I reopening on May 15
May 5th
Thank you for checking in with us at Salon Wisp. We are working with local and state government almost every day on how and when to open safely. Every one of our girls has been re-certified by Barbicide, and we are ordering all of the PPE we can for both you and us. We will update here and on our Facebook page as soon as we have more news. Be sure to click on the “Contact Us” tab to get in touch with your hair and or nail girl, and get on their list to be notified once we can open and start taking appointments.
The governor’s task force send out a draft of guidelines for personal services on May 5th and we are hoping that they will make a decision soon if personal services will be in phase one and when it will be rolled out.
As with just about everything these days, returning to a hair salon will look different once we can open our doors again. Here are a few things you can expect when returning to a salon, nothing is set in stone yet but these will give you a good idea.
Your stylist will contact you prior to your appointment to ask if you have any symptoms. There will not be any double booking, it will be one client at a time (no extra family members or friends with you) and you will be asked to only come in when notified that your stylist is ready for you. There will not be a waiting area, no food or beverage service or even magazines. Your stylist will wear a mask, and so will you. The provider and the client will be required to wash their hands before any service. Extra sanitizing of every surface in the salon will happen throughout the day.
Things for you to consider: please only bring in your method of payment, if it is cash please have exact amount. Please leave all bags including purses in your vehicle. Please bring your own mask as we are not sure how many we can provide. Again none of this is set in stone yet we are waiting for our final orders as well as opening date.
Once we know for sure when we can open and that we have all of the proper procedures set in place, we will let you know how to be able to book your next appointment, and/or your person will contact you.
